Synopsis: 1873. Arizona Territory. A stranger with no memory of his past stumbles into the hard desert town of Absolution. The only hint to his history is a mysterious shackle that encircles one wrist. What he discovers is that the people of Absolution don’t welcome strangers, and nobody makes a move on its streets unless ordered to do so by the iron-fisted Colonel Dolarhyde. It’s a town that lives in fear.
But Absolution is about to experience fear it can scarcely comprehend as the desolate city is attacked by marauders from the sky. Screaming down with breathtaking velocity and blinding lights to abduct the helpless one by one, these monsters challenge everything the residents have ever known.
Now, the stranger they rejected is their only hope for salvation. As this gunslinger slowly starts to remember who he is and where he’s been, he realizes he holds a secret that could give the town a fighting chance against the alien force. With the help of the elusive traveler Ella, he pulls together a posse comprised of former opponents – townsfolk, Dolarhyde and his boys, outlaws and Apache warriors – all in danger of annihilation. United against a common enemy, they will prepare for an epic showdown for survival.

Third short film by the Amsterdam-based Blender Foundation. Sintel is partly meant to promote the open source animation software Blender and to be used for demo-purposes (3d, 4k)by it's sponsors.
But it's far more than a very crafty demo. Script and storyline are clearly worked out on a elaborate scale, comprising three different levels. One might see it as a fantasy-action movie, but it also packs a coming-of-age sideline and a sobering life-lesson.
Loner Sintel (Dutch for Cinder)befriends a baby dragon an nurtures it, until it's snatched from her in a dramatic scene. The quest to find the dragon is somewhat rushed in a montage and throughout the movie some movement seems unnatural, but the amount of detail in props and background is amazing. Double so, because this was made by just 14 animators, script editor, technician and director (and numerous members of the Blender community who made props and scenes online) in just over a year, at a total cost of 400.000 euro.
In case you are not yet watch this film just see it after the jump with full 14 mins movie in here. The quality is in fullHD also.
And what about some more sneak peak of this film making.

In the limelight these days for his part in “Small Craft On A Milk Sea” (Warp, 2010), Brian Eno’s debut album for Warp, composerJon Hopkinsis claiming our attention by announcing the impending release of his first film score,“Monsters”. The album features the accidental score Hopkins wrote for the homonymous film, a sci-fi story to be premiered in early December. Directed by Gareth Edwards, it focuses on some strange events happening in an abandoned area located between Mexico and USA, an “infected area” with alien presences the characters have to face.
Hopkins provides the music for the action, a total of 12 pieces that sacrifice the British natural tendency toward precious electronica to take on a classic tradition with dramatic overtones and landscaped post-rock. The album is already available digitally via iTunes and will get it’s physical release on 29th November through Double Six Records, aDominosub-imprint.
Six years ago NASA discovered the possibility of alien life within our solar system. A probe was launched to collect samples, but crashed upon re-entry over Central America. Soon after, new life forms began to appear and grow. In an effort to stem the destruction that resulted, half of Mexico was quarantined as an INFECTED ZONE. Today, the American and Mexican military still struggle to contain the massive creatures… Our story begins when a jaded US journalist (McNairy) begrudgingly agrees to find his boss’ daughter, a shaken American tourist (Able) and escort her through the infected zone to the safety of the US border.
Monsters stars by stars Scoot McNairy and Whitney Able and arrives in theaters on October 29, 2010. Both of them make their roles are believable especially Able is improved from her last film. Scoot makes the film more emotion even more humanity than other films like this one.
I really love this film and not hesitate to recommend this film for you. Just watch, to see US from the outside and how about they describe what is love.
