Cheyenne, a wealthy former rock star (Penn), now bored and jaded in his retirement embarks on a quest to find his father's persecutor, an ex-Nazi war criminal now hiding out in the U.S. Learning his father is close to death, he travels to New York in the hope of being reconciled with him during his final hours, only to arrive too late. Having been estranged for over 30 years, it is only now in death that he learns the true extent of his father's humiliation in Auschwitz at the hands of former SS Officer Aloise Muller - an event he is determined to avenge. So begins a life-altering journey across the heartland of America to track down and confront his father's nemesis. As his quest unfolds, Cheyenne is reawakened by the people he encounters and his journey is transformed into one of reconciliation and self discovery. As his date with destiny arrives and he tracks down Muller, Cheyenne must finally decide if it is redemption he seeks

The Hunger Games Songs from District 12 and Beyond [2012]

 
This film a Gary Ross‘ upcoming adaptation of The Hunger Games, the first novel in Suzanne Collins’ original trilogy, which features a new image of Katniss (Jennifer Lawrence), shooting her bow and arrow in profile.



The Hunger Games follows Katniss and Peeta Mellark (Josh Hutcherson), two tributes from District 12 living in the futuristic world of Panem who are forced to enter the annual Hunger Games, a fight-to-the-death competition between young representatives of each of the 12 districts.

Katniss’ advantage in the Games is her skill with a bow and arrow (as emphasized in the poster), which she honed while illegally hunting for food for survival with her friend Gale (Liam Hemsworth).

Lionsgate announced a few weeks ago that The Hunger Games would be given a limited, one-week run in IMAX theaters, starting March 23rd, 2012.

The original songs from a variety of folk, country, indie-rock and hip-hop acts, inspired by the film adaption of Suzanne Collin’s The Hunger Games novel, are anything but upbeat and happy. They run the gamut of emotions from melancholy (Taylor Swift‘s “Safe and Sound”) to desperation (Miranda Lambert ft. Pistol Annie‘s “Run Daddy Run“) and everything in-between.

Act of Valor Soundtrack [2012]

Act of Valor follows a Navy SEAL squad on a covert mission to recover a kidnapped CIA agent, and in the process takes down a complex web of terrorist cells determined to strike America at all costs.
The filmmakers had unprecedented Naval access resulting in high-octane combat sequences and never-before-seen military operation scenes which are composited from actual events in the lives of the men appearing in the film and their comrades.

Along with the real-life SEALs the film stars Roselyn Sanchez (Rush Hour 3), Emilio Rivera (Next Day Air) and Alex Veadov (Drag Me to Hell).

The film was directed by ex-stuntmen and documentary filmmakers/commercial directors Mike “Mouse” McCoy (Dust to Glory) and Scott Waugh (Step Into Liquid) and written by Kurt Johnstad (300) and stars Alex Veadov, Roselyn Sanchez and Nestor Serrano.

Act of Valor is set for a February 17th, 2012 release.

World's Largest Rope Swing

Devin Graham has created what he calls the world's largest rope swing, which boasts a whopping 130 foot drop, the Sun reports.

Shot over two days in Bootlegger Canyon, Moab Utah, the video features Graham's friends flying through the air, secured only by rock climbing ropes. Some of them don't even wear a helmet.
