In My Sleep Soundtrack [2010]

Writer-director Allen Wolf has apparently based his murder tale on the effects of parasomnia; those afflicted do things in their sleep they wouldn't ordinarily do and can't remember later. The afflicted here is Marcus (Philip Winchester), a good-looking, gym-hardened massage therapist and ladies man who picks up so many women at nightclubs he can't remember their names. And those are just the ones he knows about: When he wakes up half-naked in a cemetery, with no idea how he got there, he knows he has a problem.

Marcus joins a Sexaholics Anonymous group whose leader (Michael Badalucco) counsels him about his promiscuity. He gets strange phone calls that suggest he's being followed. Despite his determination to stay away from any close encounters, he wakes up one morning in bed with Ann (Kelly Overton), the wife of his best friend, Justin (Tim Draxl). A few nights later, he wakes up in his bedroom covered in blood, with a knife by his side and two cops at his door. After hiding the "evidence," he's told that Ann, who's been missing since they slept together, has turned up murdered. Marcus sets out to discover who the killer is, even if the killer turns out to be him.

The Loser Soundtrack [2010]

The cheesy plot is derived from an early story arc in the DC Comics title that spawned The Losers. It's generic but it gets the job done. The Losers, an elite squad of soldiers with varying skills and specialties - Jensen (Chris Evans), Roque (Idris Elba), Pooch (Columbus Short), and Cougar (Oscar Jaenada) - are led by Clay (Jeffrey Dean Morgan), a loner who views his men as his family. When an op in Bolivia goes horribly wrong and The Losers are believed to have been killed in action, they find themselves eking out a meager existence in South America while harboring a thirst for vengeance against the man responsible for their predicament: a CIA super-agent named Max (Jason Patric). That's the situation when the dangerous, attractive Aisha (Zoe Saldana) locates them and offers a deal: if they agree to find and kill Max, she'll provide them with a way back into the United States and a limitless supply of cash for any hardware they need to do the job. The specifics of her identity, however, remain a mystery.

Opened in theater 23 April, The Loser got very active rating overall for fun to watch and humorous actions. It seams like Zoe Saldana was take a good pick than Sam in Clash of the Titans after Avatar.

End of Eternity Soundtrack [2010]

End of Eternity Soundtrack [2010]

End of Eternity (to be called Resonance of Fate when it arrives in North America next month) is an unassuming-looking game. It might be tempting to overlook it in light of the upcoming barrage of RPGs, and some pieces of the game are overlookable, but passing End of Eternity by means missing out on a fantastically fun battle system and surprisingly good overall package.

End of Eternity takes place entirely within a gigantic structure called Basel. It’s the distant future, and the planet has been ravaged and polluted, so a giant purifying structure is now the only place mankind can live. A civilization has grown up around it, in a massive tower, with the higher-class citizens living on the highest floors, and the poorest of the poor living far below in the grime. Time has passed; a theocracy has sprung up, led until recently by the now-deceased Pope Frida, who was an inspiring figure to the people. Her sort-of replacement is a man named Roen, and he and the upper crust of Basel (called the Cardinals) lead the people. But after a man named Sullivan shows up, experiments happen. Stones with mysterious powers happen. Schemes about controlling destiny happen. Elsewhere, the three middle-class main characters are somewhat oblivious to these happenings…until they are gradually drawn into the mess.

Kohei Tanaka's music is orchestral in nature. To those who do not enjoy Motoi Sakuraba's orchestral offerings, this is probably a fantastic decision. For those who do enjoy Sakuraba's orchestral themes, fret not as Tanaka crafts some beautiful themes for this soundtrack. Opening the promotional album, "The Beginning of Eternity," was first featured in the trailers for the game. It features a beautiful blend of more cinematic action scoring and some exquisite melodies. It may or may not be the main theme of the game, but I'm sure this motif will occur again throughout the game. "The Truth" is another cinematic theme but one that harbors a very sinister image. As the theme progresses, it takes on a more and more sinister atmosphere, starting mainly with some piano and strings work before moving onto some beautifully integrated organ and brass. In the end, this is one of the themes that really define Kohei Tanaka's skill at blending orchestral music rather nicely.
