Love Never Dies, Andrew Lloyd Webber's sequel to his stage production of Phantom of the Opera, debuted last night, March 9th, at London’s Adelphi Theatre to decidedly mixed reviews, and here are some of the highlights.
Webber holds the record for the longest-running musical on Broadway with "Phantom of the Opera," but he may be better known to younger musical fans as the king of musical reality TV, where he's been in the judge's chair dishing out praise and scorn to would-be theater stars.
Ten years after the mysterious disappearance of The Phantom from the Paris Opera House, Christine Daaé accepts an offer to come to America and perform at New York’s fabulous new playground of the world – Coney Island. Arriving in New York with her husband Raoul and their son Gustave, Christine soon discovers the identity of the anonymous impresario who has lured her from France to sing.
This brand-new show is a roller coaster ride of obsession and intrigue in which music and memory can play cruel tricks ... and The Phantom sets out to prove that, indeed, LOVE NEVER DIES.
The musical also will be staged in New York beginning November 11, 2010 and will open in Australia in 2011.Track list

The Phantom of the Opera
The Phantom of the Opera was based on the classic French novel by Gaston Leroux and the sequel has been developed from ideas by librettist, novelist and former stand-up comic Ben Elton.
In the role of the Phantom in Love Never Dies will be Iranian-born Canadian stage star Ramin Karimloo who has played both The Phantom and Raoul in the London West End production of The Phantom of the Opera. Having also played Christine's Father in Joel Schumacher's film version, Ramin is unique in having portrayed all three of Christine's loves.
